  • YHWH/Yeshua: 1 Corinthians 1:17-19

Yeshua is Tree of Life of Torah

HalleluYAH! Aramaic agree with Hebrew (of course they are "sisters") - good news:

Aramaic agree Greek's view. First read scripture verses then share about AENT (Aramaic English New Testament). Enjoy your studying scripture verses! ;)

    1 Cor. 1:17-19 CJB

17 For the Messiah did not send me to immerse but to proclaim the Good News — and to do it without relying on "wisdom" that consists of mere rhetoric, so as not to rob the Messiah’s execution-stake of its power.

18 For the message about the execution-stake is nonsense to those in the process of being destroyed, but to us in the process of being saved it is the power of God. 19 Indeed, the Tanakh says,

"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise

and frustrate the intelligence of the intelligent."

The above verse 19 [1 Cor. 1:19] refers Isaiah 29:14 CJB

Isaiah 29:13-14 (You can read whole context). ;)

    13 Then Adonai said:

"Because these people approach me with empty words,

    and the honor they bestow on me is mere lip-service;

while in fact they have distanced their hearts from me,

and their ‘fear of me’ is just a mitzvah of human origin —

14 therefore, I will have to keep shocking these people

    with astounding and amazing things,

until the ‘wisdom’ of their ‘wise ones’ vanishes,

and the ‘discernment’ of their ‘discerning ones’ is hidden away."

Aramaic agree with Hebrew also agree with Greek did not put "cross".

"Cross" does not come from Greek. Where did "it" [cross] came from? Latin.

    AENT:

The Aramaic word, zaqyp means "erect, straightened, and lifted up," whereas the word "crucify" originates from the Latin "crux" (cross). The Greek "stauros" refers to a "stake" not a cross agreeing with Aramaic. Although the crucifix ideology was endorsed and promoted by Christianity, cruciform fertility idols existed thousands of years before Christendom. Y'shua was put on an upright stake, not "cross-ified."

The upright "stake" brings to mind the "pole" which YHWH instructed Moshe to hold up in Numbers 21:8. A brass serpent was put upon the pole and when the people looked upon it, they were healed from the bite of the snake. So it is, that when people are bitten by the "serpent" (Genesis 3:15), they must look to Mashiyach for healing and deliverance.

The cross was introduced by pagans; it was formerly a symbol of the Babylonian sun god as cruciforms indicate. Later, Julius Caesar and his heirs struck coins with symbols of the cross (solar wheel) to commemorate the sun god. The Roman Emperor Constantine was a sun worshipper who became a Christo-Pagan and advanced Hellenized Christianity, making his "version of Christianity" the official religion the Roman Empire. The Greek "stauros" also denotes an upright stake; the verb stauroo means to drive stakes. The Greek "xulon" denotes a timber or a log or any piece of dead wood. Bullinger's Companion Bible notes that, "Our English word "cross" is the translation of the Latin crux; but the Greek stauros no more means a crux than the word "stick" means a "crutch."

  • YHWH/Yeshua: Pi-hahiroth [The Entrance of the Hiroth] means "Licentiousness

    Licentiousness

    Shabbat Shalom everyone!

I read Torah Parashah 43: Masa'ei [Stages] and learned something new. Share this with you all.

HaChirot aka Hirata or Hiroth also some says Pi-hahiroth.

Pi-hahiroth: The place on the west shore of the Red Sea where Pharaoh Overtook the Israelites

But this is very deep meaning: Pi-hahiroth [The Entrance of the Hiroth] means "Licentiousness".

This word "Hiroth" on Exodus 14:2 which interprets hachirot as "licentiousness".

    Dictionary licentiousness:

    li·cen·tious [lahy-sen-shuhs]
    adjective
    1.
    sexually unrestrained; lascivious; libertine; lewd.
    2.
unrestrained by law or general morality; lawless; immoral.
    3.
going beyond customary or proper bounds or limits; disregarding rules.

    Exodus 14:1-4

And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the Israelites so that they turn and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; before Baal Zephon, which is opposite it, you will camp by the sea. And Pharaoh will say of the Israelites, ‘They are wandering around in the land. The desert has closed in on them.’ And I will harden the heart of Pharaoh, and he will chase after them, and I will be glorified through Pharaoh and through all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh.” And they did so. (‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭1-4‬ LEB)

And they set out from Etam, and turned back unto Pi HaChirot, which is before Ba'al Tzephon; and they encamped before Migdol. And they set out from before HaChirot, and passed through the midst of the yam into the midbar, and went derech shloshet yamim (a three days' journey) in the midbar of Etam, and encamped in Marah. And they set out from Marah, and came unto Elim; and in Elim were twelve einot mayim (springs of water), and threescore and ten temarim (palm trees); and they encamped there. (‭Bamidbar‬ ‭33‬:‭7-9‬ OJB)

They departed from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which faces Baal-zephon, and they camped before Migdol. (Numbers 33:7 HCSB)

They departed from Pi-hahiroth and crossed through the middle of the sea into the wilderness. They took a three-day journey into the Wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah. They departed from Marah and came to Elim. There were 12 springs of water and 70 date palms at Elim, so they camped there. (‭Numbers‬ ‭33‬:‭8-9‬ HCSB)

And Moses caused Israel to set out from the Red Sea, and they went out into the desert of Shur, and they traveled three days in the desert, and they did not find water. And they came to Marah, and they were not able to drink water from Marah because it was bitter. Therefore it was named Marah. And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” And he cried out to Yahweh, and Yahweh showed him a piece of wood, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There he made a rule and regulation for them, and there he tested them. And he said, “If you carefully listen to the voice of Yahweh your God and you do what is right in his eyes and give heed to his commands and you keep all his rules, then I will not bring about on you any of the diseases that I brought about on Egypt, because I am Yahweh your healer. And they came to Elim, and twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees were there, and they encamped there at the water. (‭Exodus‬ ‭15‬:‭22-27‬ LEB)

Again read the above verse 26:

And he said, “If you carefully listen to the voice of Yahweh your God and you do what is right in his eyes and give heed to his commands and you keep all his rules, then I will not bring about on you any of the diseases that I brought about on Egypt, because I am Yahweh your healer. (‭Exodus‬ ‭15‬:‭26‬ LEB)

    Exodus 15:26 refer 2 Kings 15:5 and Amos 4:10

Yahweh struck the king, and he was infected with a skin disease until the day of his death. He lived in a separate house, while Jotham the son of the king was over the house, governing the people of the land. (‭2 Kings‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ LEB)

“I sent among you a plague in the manner of Egypt; I killed your young men with the sword, along with the captivity of your horses. And I made the stench of your camps go up into your nostrils, yet you did not return to me,” is the declaration of Yahweh. (‭Amos‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ LEB)

  • YHWH/Yeshua: Lashon Hara is the Hebrew phrase

    Lashon Hara

Lashon hara is the Hebrew phrase for the “evil tongue” and it refers to gossip, slander and all sorts of malicious speech. It was a source of great concern to rabbis down through the centuries, including Yeshua haMashiyach.

Below is a poem about gossip that is very wise.

    Nobody's Friend.

    My name is Gossip.

I have no respect for justice.

    I maim without killing.

I break hearts and ruin lives.

    I am cunning and malicious

    and gather strength with age.

    The more I am quoted,

    the more I am believed.

    My victims are helpless.

They cannot protect themselves against me

because I have no name or face.

To track me down is impossible.

    The harder you try,

    the more elusive I become.

    I am nobody’s friend.

    Once I tarnish a reputation,

    it is never the same.

    I topple governments

    and wreck marriages.

    I ruin careers

    and cause sleepless nights,

    heartaches and indignation.

    I make innocent people

    cry in their pillows.

    Even my name hisses.

    I am called Gossip.

4 Make me know your ways, O Yahweh.
    Teach me your paths.
5 Cause me to walk in your truth and teach me,
because you are the God of my salvation.
I await you all day long.
6 Remember your compassion, O Yahweh,
and your acts of loyal love,
because they are from of old.
    7 Do not remember
the sins of my youth or my transgressions.
According to your loyal love remember me if you will,
for the sake of your goodness, O Yahweh.
    8 Good and right is Yahweh;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
9 He causes the humble to walk in justice,
and teaches the humble his way.

    Nechushta on 2 Kings 24:8-17

    2 Kings 24:8-17 LEB

    Jehoichin Succeeds Jehoiakim

8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan from Jerusalem.

9 He did evil in the eyes of Yahweh according to all that his father had done.

    Second Invasion of Nebuchadnezzar

10 At that time, the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and the city came under the siege.

11 Then Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city while his servants were besieging it.

12 Jehoiachin king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, his mother, his servants, his commanders, and his court officials. The king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

13 Then he took from there all of the treasures of the temple of Yahweh and the treasures of the palace of the king. He cut up all of the vessels of gold which Solomon the king of Israel had made in the temple of Yahweh, as Yahweh had foretold.

14 He deported all of Jerusalem: all of the commanders, ten thousand of the skilled warriors, and the artisans; no one was left over except the poorest of the people of the land.

15 He deported Jehoiachin to Babylon; the mother of the king, the wives of the king, his court officials, and the citizenry of the land he caused to go into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:

16 of all of the skilled men, seven thousand, and of the skilled craftsmen and the artisans, one thousand. All of the mighty warriors fit for war* the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

17 Then the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his uncle king in his place and changed his name to Zedekiah.

    Footnote:

*2 Kings 24:16 Literally "doers of war"

Read Jeremiah 37:1 and Jeremiah 52:31

History of deep information about Nechushta, daughter of Elnatan:

In ancient Israel, the position of the queen mother was an important political office. When the names of the kings of Judah and Israel are listed, the names of the queen mothers always appear as well. When one of the last of the kings of Judah, Yehoyachin, is exiled to Babylon, the Bible mentions that his mother, Nechushta, daughter of Elnatan, is exiled with him.

We don't know anything about Nechushta but her name. Nechushta, "the bronze one," reminds us of the bronze serpents Moses uses to heal the Israelites in the wilderness (Num. 21: 4-9). Nechushta’s name is a reminder of the healing that the Shekhinah can bring. A midrash about Nechushta claims that her doors were always open. Perhaps her doors remained open in exile so that, like the bronze serpent, she could nourish and heal the other exiles. Nechushta is hod shebe'netzach, the humility, glory and grace we exhibit when we endure. We are most like Nechushta when we find ways of nurturing trust and healing in a broken world.

So I researched more finding history of Nehushta very interesting:

Jehoiachin's mother Nehushta was a daughter of Elnathan, a ruler of the people, or prince, from Jerusalem on Jeremiah 26 and Jeremiah 36.

  • YHWH/Yeshua: YHWH opened Hagar's eyes, and she saw a well of water

    well of water

Tonight at sunset count 24 days and read Sefriat haOmer Psalms 11:1-7 CJB

Psalms 11: For the leader. By David:
1 In Adonai I find refuge.
So how can you say to me,
"Flee like a bird to the mountains!
2 See how the wicked are drawing their bows
and setting their arrows on the string,
to shoot from the shadows at honest men.
3 If the foundations are destroyed,
    what can the righteous do?"
4 Adonai is in his holy temple.
Adonai, his throne is in heaven.
His eyes see and test humankind.
    5 Adonai tests the righteous;
but he hates the wicked and the lover of violence.
6 He will rain hot coals down on the wicked,
    fire, sulfur and scorching wind
will be what they get to drink.
    7 For Adonai is righteous;
    he loves righteousness;
the upright will see his face.

Tiferet Shebe Netchaz 24. Tiferet shebeNetzach
    Compassion within Endurance

    Hagar:
Gen 21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

    (Gen. Chapter 16, Chapter 21)

Hagar is the Egyptian maidservant of Sarai, the wife of Abram. When Sarai cannot conceive, she gives Hagar to Abram as a concubine, hoping she will be "built up" through Hagar’s children. Hagar conceives, and thinks less of her mistress. Sarai, incensed by Hagar's behavior, abuses Hagar until she runs away. An angel appears to Hagar and tells Hagar to return and endure Sarai's harsh treatment, promising that she shall bear a son and call him Ishmael.

Hagar bears Ishmael and he grows up. Sarai, who has been renamed Sarah, conceives in her old age and gives birth to a Isaac. After Isaac's weaning-feast, Sarah sees Ishmael playing. She demands that Hagar and Ishmael be expelled. Reluctantly, Abraham complies. Hagar wanders in the desert, searching for water for herself and her son. God opens Hagar's eyes so that she sees a well of water. Hagar is the exemplar of tiferet shebe’netzach, the compassion of endurance. Her endurance and will allow her to discover God's wellspring of compassion. We are most like Hagar when we are able to open our eyes, even in the midst of our daily struggle to survive, and see the compassion that is available to us.

  • YHWH/Yeshua: Moshe's wife Tziporah

    image

Tonight after sunset, count 23 days and read Sefrait haOmer.

    Gevurah Shebe Netchaz

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the advice of the wicked; nor does he stand in the way of sinners; nor does he sit in the assembly of mockers. Instead, in the law of Yahweh is his delight, and on his law he meditates day and night. And so, he is like a tree planted by streams of water that gives its fruit in its season; its leaf also does not wither. Therefore all that he does prospers. Not so the wicked. Instead, they are like the chaff that the wind scatters. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. (Psalms 1:1-6 LEB)

Very deep interesting about Moshe's wife Tziporah was doer servant of Yahweh!

    23. Gevurah shebeNetzach
    Strength within Endurance

    Tziporah (Exodus 2:16-22, 4:24-26, 18:1-12)

Tziporah is the daughter of Yitro, the Midianite priest who takes Moses in after he flees Egypt. Moses marries Tziporah and becomes a shepherd. After Moses receives the vision of the burning bush, he returns to Egypt to free the Hebrews. Tziporah and Moses' two sons accompany him on this journey, but something strange happens. At a night encampment in the wilderness, God attacks Moses and seeks to kill him. Tziporah takes a flint, cuts off her son's foreskin, and throws it at Moses' feet, saying: "A bridegroom of blood are you to me!" God leaves Moses alone because of Tziporah’s actions

Why does Tziporah act in this way? Rabbinic legend says that God is angry with Moses for failing to circumcise his son, and communicates this to Tziporah by causing Moses' sexual organs to swell! So Tziporah circumcises her infant son, making him part of the Jewish people. Tziporah's instinct is to act to save the life of her husband and her children. In this respect she represents gevurah shebenetzach, strong endurance. She must call on her power to cut, and even to cause pain, in order to protect life. We are most like Tziporah when we endure discomfort in order to achieve a lasting purpose.

This reminds me of James 1:19-25 CJB
    19 Therefore, my dear brothers, let every person be quick to listen but slow to speak, slow to get angry;
20 for a person's anger does not accomplish God's righteousness!
21 So rid yourselves of all vulgarity and obvious evil, and receive meekly the Word implanted in you that can save your lives.

22 Don't deceive yourselves by only hearing what the Word says, but do it!

23For whoever hears the Word but doesn't do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror,

24 who looks at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

25 But if a person looks closely into the perfect Torah, which gives freedom, and continues, becoming not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work it requires, then he will be blessed in what he does.

One Torah for all, not "just Jews". Obedience is the powerful key. Example of Moshe's wife Zipporah [Tziporah] showed her actions. Beautiful!

Servant walk like Yahweh/Yeshua and Torah. You all have good evening. Shalom!

  • YHWH/Yeshua: Luke 17:18

    Yeshua the Torah Word

    Mishpochah (family),
Today I read Akhi Andrew G Roth's Torah pdf Parashah 27 Tazria (When she gives birth).
    Luke 17:17-18 CJB
17 Yeshua said, “Weren’t ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
18 Was no one found coming back to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
    The above verse 18:
Was no one found coming back to give glory to God except this foreigner?
Luke 17:18: Y'shua asks about the nine who did not return, "For what did they separate...?" The word perysh, is the same root word for the name of the "Pharisees" who claim to be "separated" unto YHWH. In one way, Y'shua is not referring only to the lepers, but points out that a Samaritan (Gentile) chose to "be separate" and give thanks to YHWH, even while the Pharisees claim to be "separate" but reject Mashiyach! Nine men did not return to give thanks to YHWH; they were one short of a Pharisee "minyan" required for prayer. The action of the one Samaritan showed himself as one who is truly "separate!"
